Lesson 1: Home Row Keys

The home row keys are the foundation of touch typing. These are the keys where your fingers rest when you are not typing: A, S, D, F for the left hand and J, K, L, ; for the right hand.

Place your fingers gently on these keys and use your thumbs to rest on the spacebar. When typing, always return your fingers back to the home row. This helps improve speed and accuracy.

💡 Pro Tip: Keep your eyes on the screen, not on the keyboard. This will build your muscle memory faster.

Practice repeatedly by typing simple words such as sad, lad, fall, ask, jack using home row letters. Over time, your fingers will automatically know their correct positions.
